Hope is the power that gives us the strength to rise above to overcome and find your way

Barco’s NightingalesSM Foundation helps children in need in honor of nurses for their uncompromising dedication and advocacy. In helping the children, we have found that hope is an integral part of what we leave with each of the children whose lives we touch.

"When I think of the kind of lives that these children have and the kind of courageous fight they go through every day just to survive, we realized that they have taught us a lot about life, dedication and courage. Building solar water wells, providing meals and spending time with them have not only helped them physically, but have also given them hope in their hearts.”

Nurses

Strength, commitment, and advocacy first comes to our mind in describing a nurse. In their commitment to make a difference, they imbue Barco’s NightingalesSM Foundation with a clear sense of purpose and unbound generosity. They are the organization’s heart and soul, its spirit of action and compassion.

It is evident, especially today, of the extent of their commitment to make a difference - their sacrifice, their dedication and their advocacy – we are forever grateful.

Children with cancer not only face the rigorous medical treatment, but they often face emotional and mental anguish through bullying, exclusion and feeling hopelessly alone. Camp provides children a place where they can feel a part of a family, helping them to build confidence, ways to cope and building friendships. They are given the tools to build hope in their lives and for their future.
