At the holidays we take time to reflect on the past year and the work that remains for the New Year. The first thing we think of is the incredible support and friendship we’ve had from our Community of Compassion. With your help, we continue our work to help make children’s lives better.
2016 – A Year of Accomplishments
This year we helped 225 children receive a life changing surgery bringing our total to 3,500.
We sent an additional 70 children with cancer to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. Since starting, we’ve donated 700 camper ships.
We now provide hot lunch to 1,000 more school children in Haiti, which means that through our program, 3,000 children receive a nutritious hot lunch every school day. In 2017, we hope to add another 1,000 by mid-year.
We focused on providing maintenance to the six solar water wells we built in Haiti that provide fresh, clean water to nearly 40,000 children and their parents.
2017 – Hope for the New Year
We are hopeful that we will be able to help many more children throughout 2017. Please mark your calendars and save the date for our annual Walk for Kids, which takes place on April 2, 2017. We hope to see you there.
Frida and I wish each of you and your families a joyful and hopeful holiday season. Our wish is that 2017 is filled with health, happiness and prosperity.
Kindest personal regards,
~Michael and Frida Donner
