Clean water, the gift of life. Most health problems in Haiti are from bad drinking water. In January 2010, parts of Haiti were hit by a massive earthquake. More than 1.5 million people were displaced and had to live in camps without piped water or sanitation. In October 2010, a cholera epidemic killed 6,435 people. According to the US Center for Disease Control, the suspected source was the Artibonite River from where some of the affected people had drunk water.

We were able to partner with Phil Little and the Hispaniola Ministries to build 2 solar water wells to help the Haitians. To think something so simple as water can make such a difference to these people is amazing.
