300 Camperships and counting…
At its first Gala in 25 years, Camp Ronald McDonald’s For Good Times honored Michael and Frida Donner and Barco’s Nightingales Foundation for our ongoing contributions. Since beginning to support this exemplary organization in 2009, and with your help, Barco’s Nightingales Foundation has provided “camperships” that enabled 300 youth who are battling cancer to attend camp sessions.
We were blessed to have Alma Ahumada, who works in Barco Uniforms’ accounting department, and her daughter Aileen Rositas, who has been a regular attendee at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, join us at the ceremony. Aileen is truly an inspirational member of our Community of Compassion and hopes to continue the spirit of giving back and to one day be a counselor at the camp.
Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® creates a positive long-lasting impact on children with cancer and their families by providing fun-filled, medically supervised, cost-free, year-round camp programs.
