Kisses 4 Tristen
At the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times Gala in October, we had the honor of talking to Rick and Monique Crouser, parents of Tristen Crouser who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia when he was two years old. Today, Tristen is 10 and still fighting. He recently received a bone marrow transplant that was nothing short of miraculous. The family had signed up on the donor registry, and after an intense search found the one donor who was a match, a lady in Berlin, Germany. Tristen was gravely ill, but his doctors at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital created a unique treatment, which opened a five day window to complete the transplant. It was successful and has made a difference for Tristen.
Tristen and his family have been regulars at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, and join in the Walk for Kids annually to raise funds for Camp. On his Walk for Kids page, Tristen says, “Camp Ronald McDonald is so important to me. It is the one place that I love to be, where no one looks at me funny.”
Tristen’s is one of hundreds of moving stories. I hope you will join us in raising funds for this amazing organization, one that brings hope, respite, and joy to so many.
