Our First Day Back in Haiti

March 24, 2015

Overwhelming. Emotional. Welcomed. These are just a few of the feelings I experienced today during our first day back in Haiti. We are so grateful to have the opportunity once again to visit the our friends in the villages where we have solar water wells and where we provide hot lunches for 540 students, and to meet new friends as well. As ever, we are grateful for the dedicated people in Haiti we work with and are glad to see them safe. We are grateful, too, to all of you for your generous financial support that make these wells possible.
They say a picture paints a thousand words…so here is our day in photos.

An incredible welcome to the school where our well delivers fresh clean water.

Our water well was on and the kids were drinking and splashing the water all the time.

These children are only a few of those who line up each day to enjoy the hot lunch we provide. It's an incredible feeling to know that we are feeding 540 children daily.

This is my favorite photo from lunch.

You can see the amazing spirit these young children have. It's inspiring.

It is truly appropriate that we started this journey on World Water Day 2015.  Without a doubt, water is life.
