Milk Loves Art Comes to Camp
Each year, Barco’s Nightingales Foundation donates camperships to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, better known as “Camp.” Located on Apple Canyon Road, and surrounded by National Forest lands, Camp delivers on the belief that cancer should not take away the opportunity for a child with cancer to experience the fun, laughter and joy of life.
This year, the California Milk Processor Board, creator of the iconic “Got milk?” advertising campaign, is promoting local artists with its new campaign. Select California artists have received life-sized cow sculptures to paint in the theme of “California’s Rich Cultural Heritage,” as part of its “Milk Loves Art” campaign. We were delighted to learn that the completed artworks will be donated to Camp, where they will be auctioned off. Proceeds will support the program, which offers a cost-free, medically-supervised, camp experience for more than 1,500 children with cancer and their families each year, helping them find hope, enthusiasm and joy in the therapeutic environment of the great outdoors.
We invite you to read more about this creative campaign on Camp’s website, or to view an artist in action.
We salute the California Milk Processor Board for their generosity in supporting Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, and look forward to the upcoming auction.
