Every so often people come into our lives who are incredibly inspirational. Hilda Zuniga was one of those people. Hilda joined us on the Barco’s Nightingales Foundation Walk for Kids. It was one of her favorite activities as she loved our Foundation and the work we did in helping others. She knew that in walking with us, she could help extend the reach of our work. I remember last year after the walk. When I thanked her for coming, she said that nothing could keep her away as she wanted to help.
Sadly, Hilda passed away on March 7 of this year. While she could not be with us, her daughters, Annie Leon, Norma Zuniga, and many of Hilda’s friends joined us to walk in her honor.
Hilda, we missed you, and know you were with us in spirit.
