Alana Baron, R.N.
Alana Barron, RN, is a resource nurse at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she works in the trauma ER, the intensive care units and the surgical recovery room. Prior to this, she spent more than 14 years working as a critical nurse. At a very young age she realized that she had a sincere desire to help others. This led to her academic pursuit of becoming a registered nurse. In 2000, Ms. Barron earned her Associate’s Degree in nursing from Pasadena City College, and then completed her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Barron is dedicated to service and has worked on a number of medical missions in seven different countries around the world, including Watts, California, and in Porte Prince, Haiti. She believes this service is not only her calling, but also her duty to help provide medical assistance to the less fortunate. Ms. Barron has volunteered with a number of nonprofits including the Union Rescue Mission, The Dream Center, the Union Station Homeless Shelter, the Downtown Women’s Center, Haiti Outreach Missions, Aid Africa, and Habitat for Humanity, Samaritans Purse, Camp Ronald McDonald, and ReSurge International.
