Kathleen Ruccione, MPH, RN, FAAN, CPON
Kathleen Ruccione has spent the past 36 years at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in a variety of roles, primarily focused on cancer clinical care and research. She is the Co-Director of the HOPE Program for psychosocial and educational support services in the Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at CHLA, where she also directs the Nursing/Health Education Program, and conducts research in the areas of childhood cancer survivorship and health communication/health promotion. In these positions, Kathleen is responsible for the overall direction of clinical supportive care services and research, as well as the development of nursing and patient/family education in pediatric hematology-oncology. Kathleen In addition, she founded the LIFE Survivorship Program and established the HOPE Resource Center at CHLA. Kathleen is also a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
