You Can Help ReSurge International Receive a Donation of up to $15,000

May 13, 2011

Barco’s Nightingales Foundation was founded as a way of saluting the many generations of nurses for their tremendous contribution in making the world a better place for each of us. We are committed to supporting the vitality and courageous heart of nursing, and dedicated to honoring the spirit of those women and men who choose nursing
In that spirit, we are delighted to announce a very special campaign for National Nurses Month, a campaign that honors the extraordinary work of these women and men in their work life and as volunteers.
Barco’s Nightingales Foundation has pledged to make a donation of up to $15,000 to ReSurge International so that the organization’s volunteers can continue their compassionate and important work.
And, you can participate in this campaign simply by clicking your mouse.  It’s easy. Simply go to the Barco’s Nightingales Foundation, Facebook page and click LIKE.  If we can get to 4,000 “LIKES” by June 21, 2011, ReSurge International receive get the full $15,000.

You can do even more by spreading the word and helping us take this campaign viral.  Four simple steps are all it takes:

  1. LIKE the Barco’s Nightingales Foundation page – http://www.facebook.com/barcosnightingalesfoundation
  2. Repost this note – share it – on your Facebook page
  3. Tell your friends and family – by email, through Facebook, through Twitter, on the phone, in the hallway at work – any way you can
  4. Watch for new posts throughout the next few weeks on the Barco’s Nightingales Facebook page and share them as well as a way of reminding your friends to visit, LIKE, and spread the word

This donation will be made to honor the incredible sacrifice and caring shown by all nurses and nurse volunteers, and especially those who volunteer with ReSurge International.
For those of you new to ReSurge International, their mission is to provide free reconstructive surgery for people in developing countries, and to help improve health care worldwide. The organization’s goals are to establish, develop, and maintain host-country medical care and educational programs with the following objectives:

  • Provide direct patient care—reconstructive surgery and integrated care services—to those with no other resources.
  • Provide educational training and medical interchange.
  • Assist host-country medical colleagues toward medical independence.

Thank you for your support.
