Teams are busy raising funds and planning amazing costumes and fun for the 2015 Walk for Kids to be held April 12. Meet teams MIRACLE SURVIVORS, captained by Alma Ahumada and Corinna Ortega, and BARCONIAN, captained by Manny Gutierrez and Evelyn Mendez.
MIRACLE SURVIVORS tell us…

We decided to join the team because, personally we enjoy helping and assisting people as much as we can. When my daughter was born she went through many health issues and I remember how joyful I would feel when seeing a smile on her face. Therefore I know and understand the joy these families feel when help is given to them. Corina came up with the name and I agreed since my daughter is a survivor and I’ve met more survivors since my daughter has been in camp.
BARCONIANS say that they…

…felt the need to help, to do their part as young adults and it inspires other youth to help. The name “Barconians” is a name that sounds strong. When we hear that name it gives us an image of a strong village; plus it sounds cool in our opinion.
