William H. (Bill) Benton
Since 2010, Bill has served as CEO of GAINSystems. In this role, Bill balances a steadfast commitment to healthy growth with world-class product innovation as well as a profound dedication to generating value for customers, career fulfillment for the extended GAINS team cognizant of the need for social-responsibility. Bill is dedicated to continuous improvement of the GAINSystems’ methodology and expanding the unique GAINS value proposition well beyond the roughly 500 organizations that have already become GAINS practitioners. Prior to 2010, Bill held several positions with GAINSystems culminating in his role as COO. His areas of endeavor focused upon the design, development, and delivery of the GAINS Supply Chain Optimization solution. With more than 20 years in the field, Bill is a recognized authority on Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, Distribution and Network Optimization, SI&OP, and Maintenance Optimization. He frequently engages with industry organizations, including Gartner Group. Bill received an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and BS and BA degrees, cum laude, in Econometrics and Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Southern Methodist University. In 1999, he was awarded the University of Chicago’s Bain Award for Strategy. Bill is also active on the board of an educational charity.
