Erin Marlin, RN, BSN, PHN, CPAN
Erin Marlin, RN, BSN, PHN, CPAN, began her nursing career after obtaining her license in 1999. She specializes in Critical Care as well as Post Anesthesia Recovery. Erin is currently employed at Keck Medical Center of USC. Her experience includes Trauma,Transplant, Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Emergency and more. Erin has worked in the academic hospital settings in places such as New York, Chicago, Orange County & LA, California. Erin is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) as well as the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing (ABPANC).
Erin’s heart also had a passion for volunteering. “it is so satisfying – so rewarding – so fulfilling, to know you are doing something for the greater good without expecting anything in return…if I ever won the lottery or became independently wealthy, I would volunteer full time.” She has volunteered on 7 mission trips with ReSurge Intl, traveling to Ecuador, Vietnam, and China. And through BNF, she volunteered in the Dominican Republic.
Erin's heart and soul and passion to help people is the essence of a nurse hero. Her many experiences and dedication in becoming the nurse she is today and what she has contributed to the world in helping people - going above and beyond, is the essence of the Barco's Nightingales Award for Nursing Excellence.
