Toyin Lawal, DNP, MSN, RN – CCCTM
Dr Toyin Lawal is a passionate Nurse leader and very active in the space of serving others.
She currently serves as Director of Ambulatory Care Nursing UCLA Health , Ronald Reagan Medical Center, to provide clinical oversight to ambulatory practices and has effectively been leading the fight against the Covid19 pandemic.
She has also worked in various capacities in the Cardiothoracic ICU for adults, Pediatrics and neonatal, Nurse Manager at the OB-GYN Clinic and Nurse Administrator.
Toyin Lawal has been serving others through volunteering with many local, national and international organizations on medical mission to several countries. She serves her community with compassion and spends quality time taking care of vulnerable population, orphanages, people with special abilities, people suffering from homelessness, as well as women and children affected by domestic violence.
She has traveled to many nations across Asia, Europe and Africa, on several medical and humanitarian missions.
Toyin Lawal is the convener of Widows' Retreat, a grassroots empowerment program, in contribution to the SDG Goals and 2030 Agenda of the United Nations.
She is also the President of TWP's 1,000 Women in Religion for Global Peace initiatives, Her Legacy Voice Widows project, and a part of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, leading a global peace movement and Elimination of Gender Violence through the UNCR 1325.
Dr Toyin Lawal is an author and an accomplished healthcare professional with over 3 decades of clinical experience and holds a Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice.
In this capacity, she has successfully enhanced, designed and implemented clinical programs and quality indicators in critical care, acute care specialty and ambulatory clinical service lines, through effective collaboration with healthcare providers, practice managers, clinical staff, allied health professionals, and administrative support staff. Dr Toyin serves as a mentor and coach and always like to teach at any training opportunities leading and serving by example as a role model for others. She is an active member of, American Organization for Nursing Leadership, The American Nurses Association, and The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, where currently serves as the Chairperson for the Planning Committee. She has also served as past Chairperson, Succession Committee for Sigma Gamma At Large.
Toyin Lawal has won many awards both locally, nationally and internationally. She was featured at the Mayor's Office in Los Angeles for her work and efforts during COVID19 Pandemic. She was also recognized among 100 Women Trailblazers at UCLA. She has equally received United Nations Commission on Status of Women Power of Dreams Award 2021.
In October 2021, Toyin received the Barco's Nightingales Foundation Nursing Excellence Award given to a volunteer nurse who has gone above and beyond, making a difference in the lives of many.
